This is the Academic Suspension Appeal Form. This appeal is not for reinstatement of financial aid. If you are seeking information about financial aid, please contact the office at finaid1@unk.edu for assistance. 

In this appeal, you must explain why you will be able to succeed now, given your demonstrated academic difficulties in the previous semester(s). The appeal committee needs to be convinced that you have a clear understanding of the problems that led to your poor academic performance, that you are willing and able to address these problems, and that you are aware of exactly what steps you will need to take to succeed.

Your appeal will be individually reviewed by a committee of faculty from all academic colleges, staff from Financial Aid, Academic Advising and Career Development, TRiO, Student Records, Loper Success Hub, Student Conduct, and the C.A.R.E. team.

The committee will meet two times throughout the Summer:
  • For the June 20 meeting, the deadline to submit is by Friday, June 13
  • For the July 22 meeting, the deadline to submit is by Monday, July 15
